Jojo Jun Gao, founder of Red Clay Stove, was first introduced to the 1000 year old art of tea in 2018. From tea whisks to tea powders, the beauty and aesthetics of ancient tea left Jojo in awe and inspired her to begin a quest of learning tea customs. She began her journey with traditional Japanese tea ceremony, followed by Taiwanese tea, ancient Song Dynasty tea and later mainland Chinese tea.

Our name, Red Clay Stove, was inspired by Chinese Kung Fu tea. Jojo believes a simple red clay stove symbolizes the most authentic way of practicing the art of tea, and chose the name as a means of demonstrating and engaging in genuine hospitality with guests of tea.

 “Water is the mother of tea, teaware is the father of tea.” 

Red Clay Stove strives to bridge the gap between ancient customs and modern elements of tea culture. We supply state of the art designer teaware and authentic premium teas sourced from plantations. By blending together old tea traditions with the use of modern teawares, tea is able to remain a part of our ever changing lives.
